Our Team
John Walsh
John Walsh is the co-owner of Training for the Trades as well as a trainer. He has over 45 years of experience in the HVAC and refrigeration industry, and has given training on Elite Software since 1994. He brings his real life experience into training on Elite Software and HVAC technical issues.
Phil Granier
Phil Granier is a principal in Training for the Trades. He has been an HVAC contractor for almost 40 years specializing in custom homes, and is a former head of the Heat Pump Association. In addition to the Elite Software, Phil has extensive knowledge in duct system design and HVAC troubleshooting.
George Wentzel
George Wentzel is a 31+ year veteran of HVAC industry. He has been a business owner, technical specialist for a Texas distributor and weatherization expert. Currently he is an instructor in HVAC at a Texas Technical School as well as training in the classroom or privately on Elite Software.
Glenn Hooper
Glenn Hooper is a BPI-certified building analyst, shell specialist and heating professional. He is also a Resnet-certified Home Energy Rater, a Resnet Quality Assurance Designee and Level I Thermographer. He focuses on the home performance and Energy Star labeled homes in New York. He trains nationwide.
Alvin Daniell
Alvin Daniell is a mechanical engineer who holds a BSc from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Trinidad and Tobago and from Washington University, St. Louis, MO with an MSc. He was an owner/director of Comfort Engineering Ltd. from 1979 to 2011. He currently lectures on environmental control at UWI and is the president of, Daniell Project Management Ltd, engineering consultant firm.
