What is the Duct Schedule?

You’ve seen the Duct Schedule in the General Project Data Screen. But do you know what it’s for?

The Duct Schedule allows you to specify trunk and runout widths or diameters. The Duct Schedule is in the General Project Data Screen under the Duct tab. duct schedule combined 1

The best way to understand this is through an example:

Here we have set the program to calculate the main trunk and runouts and to use the Schedule. And we have selected the Duct Schedule to use 4, 5, 6, 7, etc.

The last column in the Load Preview shows rooms with duct that are 4, 5 and 6 inch width and diameter.

When we change the schedule to use duct fabricated in 4 inch increments the main trunk become 20 x 20 and the other trunk and runouts are either 4 or 8 inch width or diameter.

The schedule is used for any ducts in the current project, whether the duct is created with the built-in sizing in the Rhvac project that is shown in the Load Preview, the Tabular function or with Drawing Board and Manual D Ductsize.
